Will	"Now where was it..."
Drufle (GM)	For anyone wondering what's happening, Will is on his own now! We've got some errands to run here in Tormalia, and then it's off to... places!
Bic	"Bweep boop."
Drufle (GM)	Last time we saw Will, Gym Leader Marion had informed him of a lab in the city that could help him with Bic's evolution! Will is now standing outside of said lab, and it seems... Well, it doesn't really look like a lab, for one.
Will	"Hrm...this doesn't look right."
Drufle (GM)	It's a one-story building in a city of skyscrapers and highrises.
Will	"Zoop, are you sure this is the address?"
Zoop	"Upa." He nods.
Drufle (GM)	The only way you can tell it's a lab at all is a sign on the front door that says "DR ZERRO'S LAB"
Will	I'll knock on the door, I guess.
Drufle (GM)	The door is a heavy oak thing, and your knocks resound a bit.
Dr. Zerro	"Hm? Who's there?"
Will	"Um."
Bic	"Bwoop." Dr. Zerro slowly opens the creaky wooden door and peers out.
Drufle (GM)	The man before you is very old, hunched over a bit. He has wisps of grayish-white hair on his head, and large-rimmed glasses.
Will	"Are you Dr. Zerro..?" Dr. Zerro blinks a bit and looks at Will.
Dr. Zerro	"Yes, that's me. Who are you?"
Will	"The gym leader, Marion, um, said you could help me." "With Bic here." Dr. Zerro sighs and looks slightly more relaxed.
Dr. Zerro	"Of course Marion sent you. Alright, come on in."
Bic	"Bzzoop." Dr. Zerro steps back and pulls the door open.
Will	"Oh! Um, thanks."
Drufle (GM)	As you step into the old doctor's lab, it looks noticeably different than you expected. Everything is very wooden, with paint peeling off some of the walls. There are a few clunky-looking machines sitting on desks around the front room.
Dr. Zerro	"So, you wanted help with this Porygon, hm?"
Will	"Yes, I've heard he was an older model, or something?" "And he could evolve."
Dr. Zerro	"Yes, he can indeed." Dr. Zerro pulls out a weird looking contraption from one of the many pockets on his lab coat. Dr. Zerro walks over to the floating digital Pokemon and starts waving the device over Bic.
Bic	"Booop?"
Dr. Zerro	"Mhm, I see, yes, oh very interesting, quite, hm..." "This Porygon does indeed have the firmware set up for the 2 and Z variations."
Bic	Bic makes happy modem noises.
Dr. Zerro	"Where did you get this Porygon, by the way?"
Will	"Oh, he was just kinda wandering around outside." "In some alleyway." Dr. Zerro blinks at Will, puzzled.
Dr. Zerro	"Outside?" "Just, wandering around in an alley?"
Will	"Yeah, that was like an hour ago, I guess."
Dr. Zerro	"Now what on earth is a modern-coded Porygon doing wandering out in the open..." "Very curious, very much so."
Will	"Are they rare pokémon, then?"
Dr. Zerro	"Oh yes, they are incredibly rare. Especially in Galens, where there are no manufacturers of artificial Pokemon yet." "I have no idea where such a Porygon would come from, let alone why it was roaming free in the city..." "Would you mind if I took a look at it?"
Will	"Sure, uhm. Go ahead."
Bic	Bic floats towards the doctor. Dr. Zerro motions Bic over to one of the big machines sitting on a desk. Dr. Zerro starts tapping away at an input panel on the side, and the machine begins whirring and blinking.
Dr. Zerro	"Now let's see what you're made from, hm?"
Will	"That's a strange looking machine.."
Drufle (GM)	A bubble of sorts forms around Bic, and starts flashing different colors as lines of code coat the outside surface.
Zoop	"Upa...?"
Dr. Zerro	"It's a digital analysis machine, I built it as a form of identifying unusual patterns in certain kinds of Pokemon. Ah! Here we go." Dr. Zerro pulls a long piece of paper out of the machine, and adjusts his glasses to look at it.
Dr. Zerro	"Well this can't be right..." "Your Porygon has no manufacturer insignia!"
Will	"Wow, that is odd."
Dr. Zerro	"I don't think that's physically possible, actually..." Dr. Zerro looks very confusedly at Bic.
Bic	"Brweeeop." Bic stares back. Dr. Zerro pokes a button on the machine and the bubble fades away.
Bic	Bic stretches his limbs.
Dr. Zerro	"Something is very wrong about your Porygon, son. I don't think I can tell what it is, though." "All I can do is what Marion promised you." Dr. Zerro walks into an adjacent room and returns with a strange looking box.
Dr. Zerro	"This is the standard P-2 Upgrade, I believe the seventh edition." Dr. Zerro hands it to Will.
Will	"Thank you."
Dr. Zerro	"Honestly, I'm not even sure if this will work on your Porygon considering its... strange condition." "But, it's better to try than not, I suppose."
Will	"Alright..."
Dr. Zerro	"Without a manufacturer insignia or any sort of production information, I'm afraid I can't help you any more than that." "Perhaps you can go to Rhodos City? They have an abundance of electricians and digital scientists there."
Will	"Rhodos City, huh." "I think I was heading that way, in fact."
Dr. Zerro	"Good! Good, then you can check on your friend there." "It's a long road ahead, so make sure you get some provisions."
Will	"Hmm, I wonder if I should try the Upgrade now." "Or let those scientists have a look at him first.
Dr. Zerro	"Well, the P-2 generally doesn't work without a significant electric stimulus in conjunction." "I unfortunately don't have the machinery to perform such an experiment here, however."
Will	"Oh. I thought I just had to like, bop him on the head with it, or something."
Dr. Zerro	"Of course not! This is science!"
Bic	"Bweeoop."
Will	"Of course..." "Well, thank you, doctor, sir."
Dr. Zerro	"Yes, of course. If you find out what is wrong with your Porygon, I'd love to know."
Will	"Oh, okay. Do you have a number? I can give you word when I find out." Dr. Zerro hands Will a slip of paper from one of his pockets.
Dr. Zerro	"I would greatly appreciate that, thank you."
Will	He just had that written down huh. Dr. Zerro has a lot of pockets.
Will	or is it a business card a really really cheap one
Drufle (GM)	No, it's literally just a slip of paper with his phone number.
Will	"Okay, everyone, say goodbye to the nice doctor."
Bic	"Boop beep."
Zoop	"Upa." Zoop does a short bow.
Will	Off we go.
Drufle (GM)	The doctor nods curtly to Will and co, then proceeds back to his work. Geography note, by the way. If you'll all look at your map of Galens, Rhodos City is the northern-most settlement! Conveniently marked with a 6.
Will	And I'm at 2, right?
Drufle (GM)	Yep!
Will	Looks like a bit of a roadtrip.
Drufle (GM)	It's a slightly shorter walk than the one the rest of the party is taking, but it's still a very, very long walk.
Will	Where are they going, exactly? One of those mountain towns?
Drufle (GM)	They are heading into the mountains! The closer one, 3 I believe. Yes, 3.
Will	I should look at my items, then..
Drufle (GM)	You have quite a bit of money, buy anything if you'd like! If you need any Pokeballs, or medicines, or possibly a key item!
Will	Hmm... How much are potions?
Drufle (GM)	300 each. They restore 2 hp.
Will	What about revives Two will probably be fine though.
Drufle (GM)	A Revive is a staggering 1500! They bring a Pokemon to 3 hp.

Drufle (GM)	Very well. In the meantime, I will give us a change of scenery. The road from Tormalia to Rhodos is a long one, and rather sparse. It is quiet aside from the wind, and the occasional Pokemon passing by. There are few trees to be seen, and the land is interspersed with slow-moving rivers and cold, low grasses.
Will	Hey how much money did I get from the gym?
Drufle (GM)	5000 pokeyen.
Will	oh okay i did not add that
Drufle (GM)	That will most likely be the prize for every gym, unless it turns out to not be enough.
Will	I think I should buy that camping equipment, then..
Drufle (GM)	Ooh, good idea!
Will	I'll do that, and buy 3 more potions as well.
Drufle (GM)	That is a key item, and thus costs 5000. Very well! The camping equipment, for those who don't know, acts as a sort of portable Pokecenter for the night. Very handy!
Will	Right, all ready, then.
Drufle (GM)	Good!
Zoop	Zoop is standing on top of a map, trying to plan a route. "Upa...upa."
Will	"Need some help?"
Drufle (GM)	You left Tormalia around 10-11 am, by the way.
Zoop	"Upa..." Zoop says, sounding a little irritated.
Will	"Okay, fiiine." We set off, then, Zoop leading the way.
Drufle (GM)	Alright then. The road is completely empty; there doesn't seem to be a lot of travellers these days.
Will	"This place is so empty..." "Kinda peaceful, though."
Drufle (GM)	Of course, we have to have an encounter!
Will	"Yes. So very peaceful." "With no events that happen."
Drufle (GM)	As you are the only one here, I'll even let you pick the type you fight!
Will	I can choose my own destiny...
Drufle (GM)	Your options are: Water, Grass, Normal, Psychic, Fighting, Bug, Fairy, Flying. I will randomly choose from the options once you pick the type.
Will	How about Psychic

Drufle (GM)	A Xatu and two Natu land in front of Will, the leader glaring at him!
Will	Better send out the whole gang, then. There's three of them!
Gruu	"Gruuu."
Drufle (GM)	(Poor Gruu...)
Will	She'll be the judge of that.
Drufle (GM)	Now, my speed is 6! Because birds are fast, you see.
Will	Okay see you later Gruu. I'm 5.
Drufle (GM)	The Xatu closes its eyes, and focuses deeply... It is surrounded by a pale aura!
Will	Man, their entire team goes first, huh? That's rough.
Drufle (GM)	That's Calm Mind, by the way. Yeah it is rather unfortunate. The Natu would have 6 speed themselves anyway. The top Natu tries a Confusion on Bic! Natu used Confusion! Target Bic Roll 4 4 4 + 6 AC 13 Damage 2 Hit!
Bic	"Beep!!"
Drufle (GM)	The second Natu tries a similar move on Gruu...

Drufle (GM)	Xatu takes two hits to the chest, and wobbles around a bit. His focus seems a bit frazzled.
Will	"Now, Zoop, finish it off!"

Zoop	oh actually from uh underdog too

Drufle (GM)	His focus options are SPATK and SPEED, by the way. His moves are Peck/Wing Attack, Helping Hand if he has SPEED, and uh. That's it. Actually no, he gets Pursuit with SPEEd. SPEED* Both the field move and the battle move.

Drufle (GM)	Oof. Mark down another 1 exp. For that truly abysmal roll. Roll a d6.
Will	rolling d6( 1 ) = 1 My god.
Drufle (GM)	You get 4 potions, 2 revives, and 1 ether. I think a 1 was actually the best roll for that.
Will	Goodie.
Drufle (GM)	An 8 gives you only the medicine items from a treasure roll. And I think 1 has the most medicine out of the 6.
Will	How far am I from the town now btw

Drufle (GM)	You're still like 7 hours away, but yeah.

Drufle (GM)	It's been like, 11 hours. Since you left Tormalia. It's night time at this point, I think. Probably like 8-9 pm. Maybe a little later.
Will	Then we'll set up camp.
Drufle (GM)	Good idea! Will you heal up Zoop and Xirb or revive a Pokemon?
Will	is Xirb up and around then? i assumed it was fainted
Drufle (GM)	I wasn't sure which game rules we were using. Whether they stay at the same hp when you caught them or if they become fully healed on capture.
Will	wasn't there a special ball that heals, though
Drufle (GM)	I guess it would be the former, huh. Yeah Xirb is also fainted then, I suppose. Man, that was really rough huh.
Will	I'll use the rest to revive Gruu, then heal Zoop with two potions.
Drufle (GM)	Very well! Wait, two? Did he actually get hit twice, I don't remember.
Will	He did, I'm sure.
Drufle (GM)	Alright.

Drufle (GM)	Well the night passes, and Day 4 begins! I hope it's Day 4, at least. The rest of the party is on their way up the mountains right now. Now let's see what happens next...
Will	"Whew, it's cooold."
Gruu	"Gruu..."
Will	"Oh, hey, you're awake."
Drufle (GM)	Well, I think I have a solution for that problem!
Will	"Sorry about yesterday."
Gruu	"Gruuu?"
Will	"Yeah no it's been a whole day."
Drufle (GM)	You hear a sort of whooshing sound from across the plains...
Will	"Must just be the wind..."
Zoop	"Upa."
Drufle (GM)	Does it seem hotter to you?
Will	"What! That's plausible." "Does feel quite warm though." "That's nice."
Drufle (GM)	Make an Attention check. Will: Attention Check: 12
Drufle (GM)	That's still pretty decent. Far off in the distance you see... fire?
Will	"Uhm...are the plains on fire..?!"
Zoop	"Upa!"
Drufle (GM)	Suddenly there's a loud roar, and a creature runs past you with incredible speed!
Will	"No, Zoop, we're not trained firem-WOAH." "Was that a pokemon??"
Zoop	Zoop looks for it.
Drufle (GM)	It zips past you incredibly fast, and you see only a blur of brown fur as it runs by. Does Zoop want to try his own Attention?
Zoop	Can Zoop do that
Drufle (GM)	Well no, not really.
Zoop	rolling 2d6+20( 5 + 4 )+20 = 29
Drufle (GM)	You can just roll your own Attention again, if you want. Zoop sees EVERYTHING. Zoop: Attention Check: 16 There's a real one
Drufle (GM)	Zoop thinks that the beast that ran past, and also the cause of the fire, was an Entei!
Zoop	"Upa!"
Drufle (GM)	Speaking of that fire, it seems to be approaching awfully fast...
Will	"Entei? What's that? Zoop, what have you been reading on the internet?" "Oh no it's coming." "Get out of the way!"
Zoop	Zoop tackles Will before Will can tackle Zoop.
Drufle (GM)	If only Will had a Pokemon capable of moving large quantities of water at once!
Zoop	Zoop leaps into a pool and begins to do just that. His waterbending skills are great.
Drufle (GM)	Make your Special Training check. Zoop: Special Training Check: 6
Drufle (GM)	... Add another 1 exp, Will.
Will	Gladly.
Drufle (GM)	Zoop does his best to force the water up out of the river, and he manages to do so! Unfortunately the fire is much larger than you expected, and seems to have no problem with the water! It rushes past the flowing liquid and evaporates it almost instantly. We sure are in trouble now!
Will	"Zoop! Move the water over it, and drop it on top!" Zoop: Special Training Check: 15
Drufle (GM)	Isn't that better? By smashing the fire from above instead of spraying the water at it from the side, the fire has no chance to boil away the water! The mass of the wildfire dissipates, and the remaining few patches of flame are blown away by the wind.
Zoop	Zoop runs back up to Will and jumps into his arms, then stands on his shoulder.
Will	"What on earth was that..."
Drufle (GM)	Zoop saves the day, once again! Make an attention check, if you will. Heh, will. Will: Attention Check: 14
Drufle (GM)	Not bad! In the middle of the ashes from the wildfire, Will notices a small red stone.
Will	"Eh..?" I approach it, and check to see if it's hot." I'd assume it is.
Drufle (GM)	It is warm, but not too much so. It pulses a bit with heat, even once you remove it from the hot ashes.
Will	I'm not sure I'm exactly qualified to identify this. maybe there's a label somewhere
Drufle (GM)	There are markings on the stone, you notice. What region are you from again?
Will	h-here?? i haven't thought about that
Drufle (GM)	Very well. You probably don't recognize the markings on the stone, then. Perhaps someone in Rhodos will know?
Will	Guess I'll keep a hold of it. "(I wonder if that was another one of those 'legendary' pokemon...)"
Drufle (GM)	I think that will have to wait for next time, however. I think that was good for a mini-session.
Will	Will googles 'Entei'. finds a bunch of fanart on dA "This isn't very informative."
Drufle (GM)	Entei comes up as a dangerous Legendary Pokemon, the master of volcanoes.
Will	"It IS brown, though." "And firey."
Drufle (GM)	You find a few articles from Galens about reported sightings of the creature.
Will	Will considers calling the others about this, but decides to wait until later.
Drufle (GM)	There appear to have been a number of rumors, but only one or two sightings so far. We'll see if Will can get any help from Rhodos City next time!
Will	Yay.
Drufle (GM)	And out.

Drufle (GM)	Oh dear.
Will	No. Stop that.
