i love that roll20 doesnt beep until i look at the tab then it beeps 60 times in a row
bello
let's get to topiary
arze is antsy
plants don't have b l o o d to drink
is Rylar clothed this time?
"Let's get goin'!"
Najka pushes up her glasses
did you tell ol zircon about the critical tanking disparity yet
i demand patch notes
I'm waiting until the playtest is over to throw all my info at him.
is there music now it just cut out for me
what was Initiative again?
SPD?
it cut out when i clicked so i thought maybe i did it somehow
rolling 1d20+13 = 16+13 = 29
rolling 1d20+6 = 17+6 = 23
rolling 1d20 + 10 = 5+10 = 15
oh nooo
rolling d20+11 = 17+11 = 28
rolling d20-1 = 18-1 = 17
Wow.
as long as I outspeed the plants I'm good
time to relearn my spells
Blink?
I think Blink would be good
Alright then, Najka is first!
rolling 1d2 = 2 = 2
the cat has two shields now
"I hate eatin' me greens, but if I must..."
how does the facing work with these tokens
You should probably say whether high or low is good beforehand, Noven.
if I say nothing, assume its high
Alright, I just recall that you had a problem with me not declaring it ahead of time :P
or just assume I'm rolling for how many shields I'm giving
Also fair.
Anything else?
uhhh
Knowledge???
identify the plants???
rolling 1d20+8 = 13+8 = 21
I mean I'm a scholar I feel like this is my main goal
that was a Nature roll
It's a giant Venus Flytrap! It doesn't really move, and it likes to throw statuses around.
I wonder if the miniplants can move..
The little offshoots enjoy dragging people around.
"We are fighting some kind of carnivorous plant. Watch out for tendrils"
was that an action?
Ok, that isn't going to work.
I'll just shoot the little plant normally.
rolling d20 = 3 = 3
Yep.
shooting stumps is generally ineffective
maybe it wasn't Rylar's fault in the last battle
rolling 2d8+24 = 8+3+24 = 35
Let's get busy...
Actually, I'll move here..
I'm gonna attack now.
rolling 1d20 = 13 = 13
Hey look, he can roll high!
rolling 2d8+28 = 1+6+28 = 35
really starting to think this is less of a problem for Rylar
And now...let's ground myself.
I gain Stability I think
Oh, that power.
Well then.
Oh its dead
well whatever
The tiny guys are very squishy.
Alright, uh.
rolling 3d4 = 3+2+3 = 8
Sestina, Softpaws, Sestina.
I want the two of you to rollAGI saves.
Should we just buff up and go for the main target, then, or wait it out to see what it does?
how the heck does Blink work...
rolling 1d20 + 9 = 4+9 = 13
[20+5] = 10+5 = 15[20+5] = 1+5 = 6
does blink apply to this?
It's not an attack, so no.
Alright, Sestina saves once and all the others are fails.
Rylar has never seen a cabbage.
im just not into it today
oh we've been dragged
"I did warn you about the tendrils"
Tiny vines leap from the ground, grabbing at your ankles and dragging you towards the big guy.
"fool! this is where I wanted to be!"
And then uh...
Ok that's actually it, apparently.
His only ranged attack I made 2 AP for some reason so he's done.
past Drufle did not create many options
5 mp for fire swords!
then move up and attack
why not Fire and another element?
or does this thing have an element already?
hey droof
would my Nature roll have found that out?
or are we just gonna roll with it
i'd have to us an action myself to know that I think
It probably would've told you.
This guy has no natural element.
but it is a plant
is that a thing?
just pokemon it
set fire to this small woodland
There are no elemental weaknesses in this game aside from the wheel ones.
yeah fire and water swords
that's some cool imagery there
Like that one boss from DS3.
then i beat him and i was okay again
Make it pay!
You can just roll your 2d20.
rolling 1d20 = 16 = 16
rolling 1d20 = 3 = 3
Both hits, just barely not a crit.
(hey Drufle what does Protect do?)
That's a bonus to PD, I believe.
welp...Etude is better then
rolling 2d6+22 = 5+2+22 = 29
The first one does normal damage, the second will do 1.25x.
rolling 2d6+22 = 2+1+22 = 25
second hit is with the water sword
on the now fire monster
yeah
The flytrap is not happy!
Largely because it is now somehow made of fire.
that can't be confortable
reaction to step forwar
the 5-foot step
Etude to the cat's TGH
+8 TGH
Poor Rylar trying to get his tiny body to the fight.
Alright, uh, bow time.
I can make it.
I forget though, can you move twice with your 2 AP?
I know the BA can move you too
Yes.
You can move a total of double move +10 feet that way.
The BA step has no weird restrictions like the PF 5-foot step does.
(Etude lasts for 2 rounds, btw. Keep track of that Softpaws)
Largely because BAs are actually useful in this game.
Alright, let's just Precise Shot.
Er, Precise Pierce.
rolling d20 = 18 = 18
Oof, crit.
So that's very annoying because a Ranger's crit inflicts Daze.
rolling 2d8+24 = 4+7+24 = 35
by pf rules its immune to sich
the plant has been dazzled
But without a proper bestiary yet, there are no monster rules.
"Stay on yer feet, comrades! I'm comin'!"
I could use a movement-boosting spell
So one AP to move 25ft, then BA to move 10.
"how wonderful of you to care now"
Righto.
Thank you for remembering facing.
gonna Fus that thing right on outta here
He loses -3 to his crit range for a round.
That's me.
See, I'm more than just a helmetrack.
(so I forgot that the dragging thing was actually the mini-plants, whoops, I definitely could've done his ranged attack last time)
I can't even remember the functions of the monsters I literally created.
rolling 3d4 = 1+2+2 = 5
spray someone with nuclear sap or something
blame Past Drufle for not making that clear
Najka, Softpaws, Softpaws.
AGI saves!
rolling 1d20+6 = 18+6 = 24
Gosh, your AGI is pretty high for a caster.
rolling 1d20 + 9 = 16+9 = 25
rolling 1d20 + 9 = 14+9 = 23
No failures this time around.
I started with 13 and got 2 a level
Softpaws stabs the tendrils creeping to him
So he'll just do a regular tentacle smack to Softpaws.
rolling d20 = 17 = 17
Right, not a crit, roar thing.
rolling 2d10+31 = 5+3+31 = 39
I'm gonna go ahead and react to that.
Sentinel lets me I think
I can't prevent the attack but i can counter.
its a good thing the kitty has 8 extra PD
rolling 2d8+28 = 4+5+28 = 37
Rylar was holding back last fight
Well, uh.
The flytrap is not doing great.
39 damage is a bit high
i am wearing armor
is that accounted for?
the roll drufle made is the damage before PD
Yeah, you need to subtract that yourself.
Still a big hit, I'm sure.
Miss on low.
rolling d2 = 1 = 1
Y'all know you can mark the tokens, right
Alright, down to one shield then.
that's one shield down, one to go
Anyway, uh.
Ignore that damage then, Softpaws.
(note to self: enemies need more hp)
5 more MP yes to change the fire sword to watter
make it go super saiyan
its got the hair for it
you made the SotDL mistake, Drufle
(i know this game is supposed to have super fast-paced combat but this is too fast)
one big enemy versus a party
That's the way to go in Pathfinder.
i forget, can I cast a spell and attack?
in pathfinder hitting things is an actual chore
I keep forgetting Duskblades have spells.
For what it's worth I'm feeling the fast pace of this and I'm liking it.
nice and snappy
though that could easily turn around on us
(when i say this is moving very fast though i mean that it's at like 8% hp already)
rocket tag
oh gosh
seriously?
I mean I did get really lucky there.
He did roll a high crit, true.
But still.
I cast Elemental Ward on Rylar, and activate my War Magic trait to hit the plant with one sword
I guess we're fighting to golems
resistance to fire element?
"The first creature to hit the target with a melee attack before the spell ends takes 1d10 elemental direct damage."
Note: that should be 2d10.
i choose water element for this
Due to the die scaling.
Right.
And here's one thing I do need to check.
Wow, nevermind.
I thought war magic's attack didn't stack with the normal attack but it does!
Holy crap.
Definitely a high incentive to use your buffs, huh.
You know I'm wondering if big monsters could have 3AP or something
Alright, roll 3d20 then.
Ooh.
I hadn't even thought about that.
rolling 3d20 = 15+5+9 = 29
Don't forget your Killing Frenzy, that first one is a crit.
So, uh, roll damage three times and I'll deal with the math.
I think this might kill it...
He still has bloody Vulnerability!
Uh, it was like 130ish I think.
what's the mod on one sword?
6?
I was planning on using Helix on the plant next
All of your attacks are 2d6+22.
war magic specifies I hit with a single one-handed weapon
Thinking about the 3AP thing, I also have a pretty solid way to inflict Daze, so maybe it's a good idea on that front as well
so I thought id have to halve the swords
Yeah, so you make three attacks.
I think that is one of your attacks
You have a single one-handed weapon in each hand, so you just make one attack instead of your usual two.
The math is otherwise identical.
normally I do 2d6+22x2, total 4d6+22
+44
you know what I'm not gonna question this
its dead either way, man
you've won
rolling 6d6 + 66 = 5+1+5+6+3+5+66 = 91
One attack does 2d6+22, and you're doing three attacks!
i want rylar to attain ultra instinct
Seems pretty simple to me? whats confusing you
yeah but its not fitting in the square hole in my head. can we go over it after the session druf?
what is your Melee score?
36 from the first hit, 32 from the second, 28 from the third, 96 total.
Yeah let's go over it after.
I'm a scholar and I have 8 somehow
That is 76.2% of its max hp in a single turn.
I'm guessing your's is better
You gotta beef these dudes up lol
we took a lot long with the spiders
"Is this thing not dead yet?! I want to go home, I'm hungry!"
this is the gnolls all over again
"the trials of an obligate carnivore..."
"Bah, wasn't very tough, was it?"
(that was like 45 minutes good grief)
Ok, uh, I had a lot of other tricks up my sleeve with this guy that he just.
Did not get to use.
"This creature was hardly worth the effort"
rolling 2d8+28 = 5+3+28 = 36
"Why were we fighting it again?"
sorry for rigging the system :P
He liked to deal Poison a bunch, screwing with any healing you might've tried.
"Gardenin' with a spear...I think that's right."
maaan, we even had ways of dealing with that
And he would CL anyone that got near him, and he had a power that would deal automatic PD-piercing damage to CL'd targets.
Hence why he kept dragging you guys.
Did you actually CL anyone
what a neat list of features we never saw
I was considering it, but uh.
Actually I wanted to ask, is CL a free action
Honestly you guys were hitting so hard it would not have mattered.
It is!
I would have done it but it can't even move anyway.
Yeah.
This was more a target of enemy CL than player CL.
And I even gave it a reason to make you guys want to get away but it didn't get a chance to use it!
Right, so, that was basically no time, do we want to finish up with the last fight?
Sure.
This isn't exactly a test of your endurance.
Although it could be, if I had set it up as such.
"stone men now? fore the love of"
The giant stone men snarl back.
Also I'm going in front if you don't mind.
alright
rolling 1d20+13 = 13+13 = 26
These are Clay Golems! Big, slow, tanky Earth boys.
Finally, some dudes I can party with.
"Clay golems. Earthen as well"
And aw fuck I forget the Duskblade's innate power.
"Be mindful of that, Softpaws"
does this make them "elementals"
Yeah, I was just wondering that.
I think for the purpose of letting you use that power, why not.
I did make them Earth-innate.
Good thing they're Super.
Alright, back to initiative!
my Elemental Chaos trait makes all elemental creatures roll with disadvantage against me
rolling d20+11 = 6+11 = 17
rolling 1d20 + 8 = 2+8 = 10
oh noooo
rolling d20+3 = 16+3 = 19
uh oh
oh wait
rolling 10+5 = 10+5 = 15
Softpaws, roll! Maybe you can go first!
rolling 1d20 + 10 = 5+10 = 15
I keep forgetting my feat
Hm.
Softpaws has more innate AGI, right?
I assume so?
this is SPD though
Oh, speed, right.
Silly me.
shit
I can't
cut in front of the golems then
So...this is the power of Ultra Instinct...
Alright, left guy launches a boulder at Rylar.
(did we even get hurt last fight?)
rolling 2d6+23 = 4+3+23 = 30
You take 30 earth elemental damage.
Does that get reduced by MD of PD
Technically it was the Stone Shards spell.
But, you know.
Gonna come smack Sestina.
it appears as though he will not
Wait, oh, right.
That one.
Let's see how high this PD is...
rolling 2d6+28 = 4+5+28 = 37
Oh, that's meant to be 2d8.
"Might I suggest holding back for a moment"
"I can't believe stabbing a rock wasn't effective..."
The clay golem loses confidence in his attacks, and has disadvantage on rolls until his next turn.
"Sestina, hold on a moment"
"Let me finish this spell"
I'm asking you two to hold
Uh, ok.
Sestina will do so.
Let's see what you got up your sleeve.
Softpaws sharpens his nails
I've really wanted to do this for a while
ummm
who's turn is it?
Softpaws, unless he actually defers.
He hasn't said as such.
oh do i have to ok
I defer to you
if you want to you have to say
thank you
Helix on the golem's TGH, please
and I'll back up a little
"Its defense has been reduced"
"That should make this go more smoothly"
this is just one round so make it count
Go ahead and windsword it up.
ok
windy-swordy activate
reaction to back up
oh wait
not actually in front of it
am I still in range?
You're in range for a frenetic rip.
But not for a normal attack.
yes but am i in range of IT
for IT's attavks
This is a weird crossover.
oh well FRENETIC RIIIPPPP
rolling 4d6+44 = 2+3+1+4+44 = 54
You, uh, should roll to hit first.
I'll just take those second two dice.
i get excited when I use razor wind im sorry
Me thinks magic is the way to take these things out.
"...this is not working as intended"
Anyone...got any of that.
what magic?
I'm got...one spell that does terrible damage
Probably better than our attacks.
Ok, uh, probably time for Sestina to step away.
Cast Hunter's Mark on the front guy for extra damage.
the barrier would do 2d6+8
Then Precise Pierce to cut away at this PD a bit.
rolling d20 = 13 = 13
Hit, so he's vulnerable for a round, and...
rolling 2d8+2d6+24 = 6+1+5+6+24 = 42
19 damage.
Rylar!
Okay so...
I'm gonna cast Law's Restitution
See how this works out...
So I pick two allies
or is it random allies
then they each get a random boon for a round
Picked allies, random boons.
I'll pick the cat and the ...elf?
Elvor, yes.
Roll a d13.
They both get the same boon.
That's...
10 thp for both of them.
"Stand firm, my comrades!"
Now I'll turn on Solid Hit
And let's go for a hit.
rolling 1d20 = 3 = 3
Front clay golem is angry, and takes a big swing at Rylar.
(what can Reactions be used for?)
Depends on if you have any powers that use them.
If you don't have any, then reactions are pointless for you.
rolling d20 = 16 = 16
I think you can make a regular action into a reaction on a trigger, if you wanted?
Ooh, hit on Rylar.
Yeah, that is true.
But I can't imagine that'll be useful here.
rolling 2d8+27 = 2+4+27 = 33
Kerclunk.
The other one launches a stone shard at Najka.
Oh crud, right, I combat lock this guy.
rolling 2d6+23 = 3+5+23 = 31
did you even roll to hit???
Good idea, Rylar.
You don't roll to hit for spells!
oh, btw, you're cursed now
19 damage
right so
wtf do I do
why is Blade Barrier concentration?
what does that mean in this game?
Ah, ok.
What that means is that the spell lasts for the given duration unless one of the following happens.
A: you cast another spell that needs concentration; B: you take damage; C:you get knocked out
well, Blade Barrier is my only Concentration
getting hit is a pain though
If you take damage, you have to make a VIT save equal to half the damage you took to keep the spell up.
yeah that's...not going to happen
uhhh
fine, Blade Barrier
there I guess
Righto.
Yeah.
Just a wall of spinning magic swords.
also Shared Learning on my MND
wait...can I do that?
MND to MND?
"another stat" so I'm thinking now
not
Yeah, no.
They have to be two different stats.
shit, add my INT to MND then
and Reaction to move my butt a little
are you going to roll damage on this spell yet
That movement is a BA, not a reaction, remember.
oh, BA
what the heck are BAs used for?
Well, I'm not sure that actually casting the spell on an enemy hurts them.
Tons of things.
they take damage...on their turn?
I got lots of abilties that use a BA
because they are NEVER going to walk into it
The spell specifies that you take damage if you attempt to move through them.
shit, that doesn't help at all
Yeah, Rylar has tons of BA powers.
Softpaws, you're up.
You'll have to actually move in now.
If only I could push it through.
it doesn't help because one is combat-locked and I was going to lock the other one right now
To be fair, you can push enemies, Rylar.
You're even pretty good at it.
if you want to lock them go ahead
Softy, remember I can CL two dudes at once.
I'll just cast Blink a bunch
You can CL if you like though.
1 ap to move here
1 ap to cast elemental ward on Rylar again
BA to hit the golemonce
I assume you're casting Wind Elemental Ward?
yes it didn't change from last time
Right.
Crit, roll damage.
literally none of my abilities use bonus actions...
sword elelment trait doesnt specify duration
i've been using it like i only spent MP when switching
alright so no MP spent on that then
rolling 1d6+22 = 3+22 = 25
As far as I know, your weapons stay elemented until you change them.
Alright, that should be a 2d6.
and then I combat lock this golem
wait hang on
i do not lock it down
I wanted to use dark presence to poison it at the end of the turn
but it need an AP i don't have
Fair.
Although remember that Poison is kind of a useless status on enemies.
Alright, Sestina.
I can't inflict vulnerability again.
druf do you know what the ward spell's cost is?
for some reason my sheet has it at 0
Piercing shot isn't helpful, since that halved damage is gonna be 0.
oh right...
just shoot then
The book says 0 MP as well.
I think it means 10.
Right, Sharpshooter this right guy.
rolling d20 = 5 = 5
Whoops.
That would be a miss.
Rats.
Rylar, your turn.
(note to self: physical defense is worth its weight in gold in comparison to hp)
So if i were to try and push this guy, what kind of action would it be and would it actually trigger damage from the sword wall?
It's 1 AP, and yes.
You make a Lift/Move check opposed by his Lift/Move or Acrobatics check.
And what damage does it do?
Well Shove does nothing, but that barrier does like.
2d8+AM?
But that is magical damage.
I'll give it a shot.
Hng!
(although dang their MD isn't terrible either...)
It's a lot worse but not abysmal.
So my roll is...1d20+15?
Can you check that for me
rolling 1d20+15 = 3+15 = 18
rolling d20+11 = 19+11 = 30
He is not interested in moving.
Nope.
Well, in that case...
I'll just attack with my remaining Ap
rolling 1d20 = 19 = 19
Crit!
does anyone have a magic attack in this party?
rolling 2d8+28 = 8+5+28 = 41
"Fine, have it your WAY!"
I also cast Stability on myself.
21 damage.
This right golem is finally not looking good.
Speaking of which, golems!
This left golem is gonna try and get around Softpaws.
move through the blades then
oh dear
Launch a stone shard at Sestina.
I guess that would be disadvantage on damage too, huh.
rolling 4d6 = 6+4+2+5 = 17
6 from that then.
So 15 total to Sestina.
Right guy just punches Rylar.
rolling d20 = 2 = 2
Yeah, I rolled two dice twice and took the lowest two numberes.
oh, you didn't add the mods in that roll
okay
So that hits Rylar.
Because his evasion is bad.
missing Rylar is very hard to do
rolling 2d8+27 = 6+1+27 = 34
And the golems are done.
I explode.
What was the damage on that ward?
Oh right, that.
Just a flat 2d10?
hey, Softpaws? are your DOTs boosted by any mods?
17 damage it is.
Najka! Your turn!
Etude on Softpaw's Int, please
+8 to your Int
which is a +8 to Magic Attack
Softpaws!
(gosh this left golem literally hasn't been touched yet)
time to fix that
I cast Bleed on it
if it can bleed, we can kill it
Squeezing blood from a stone?
that is per round I hope?
Alright, that'll be 9 instant damage on his turn then.
For 1 round, yes.
wtf
that's a terrible spell
The spell does not specify a longer duration.
If a longer duration is not specified, all conditions last 1 round.
So, your other AP? Two swords, I imagine.
i will then combat lock the golem and cast dark spikes on myself
I mean... I guess you can use your free attack then?
Wait, hold up.
You can't cast two spells in one round!
well he did cast one spell
Only if one of them is a cantrip.
so there is a free attack
that's the rule I was thinking of and couldn't place
He only gets the free attack if the spell was a non-attacking one.
I would consider Bleeding Touch to be an attack spell.
bleed is direct damage yeah
so I'll just smack the bastard!
You can just use your- yeah.
Just do that.
rolling 4d6+44 = 2+2+4+4+44 = 56
Hm.
I think I need to continue dropping their PD.
we have no magic attackers
oh you doing that thing again?
Because otherwise you just dealt a total of 3 damage.
I noticed that their PD wasn't like...30 anymore
Well, they sure are rocks.
druf i thought these things started with 31
They did.
It is quite a bit lower now.
Here's something you're probably not realizing.
PD is applying twice to that damage.
They too have taken off their shirts.
we need more Vulnerability
Alright, this is now a total of 14 damage.
Sestina!
Vulnerability on left boy, please.
rolling d20 = 20 = 20
ask, and it shall be delivered
Man, it really hurts that natural 20s aren't quite as beautiful in this system what with the big crit ranges.
its green though
that makes it great
rolling 2d8+24 = 2+4+24 = 30
Well, it's green here. It won't be in the log
28 damage.
Shot between the eyes.
Rylar!
Let's try that push again.
rolling d10+11 = 1+11 = 12
rolling 1d20+15 = 1+15 = 16
Technically you win.
I guess.
they ram into eachother, butt heads, and stumble backwards
Unless you're moving back into range.
Najka, roll that sword damage please.
rolling 2d6+8 = 3+2+8 = 13
Yeah I want to move into his range.
I'm glad I spent a turn on that
Now for the followup.
rolling 1d20 = 5 = 5
...have you been dropping their EVD too?
rolling 2d8+28 = 5+8+28 = 41
I used my BA to move btw.
So that's me.
Oof.
Now, It's always been 5.
ya got stabbed, mah clay man
Sestina missed that one time because she used Sharpshooter.
Which gives -5 to hit.
18 damage it is.
The golem finally crumbles away.
"Guess I rocked...the most...? Hrm."
How dare you hurt his friend!
rolling d20 = 8 = 8
-2 to a 6.
That's a miss?
what are you aiming for on me
The d20 is always against evasion.
He just fires a stone shard at you.
He is getting annoyed.
rolling 2d6+23 = 3+1+23 = 27
Oh, and he takes his 9 bleed damage.
I feel like that's something that needs to change
do i still have the thp from stoneskin?
That thp lasts until it's destroyed.
Heal Wounds on Sestina too
rolling 1d8+6 = 2+6 = 8
Can't do two spells in one turns, man.
You caught me in my own trap.
Now Softpaws.
you have activated your own trap card
how do you know its a cantrip
because I labeled it as such
i didn't label mine. so I can't reme-oh
well that's fine
the golem is weakened
go for the gullet
I don't still have your +8 do I?
uhhh
you might, actually
it lasts 2 rounds
when did I etude you...
it was an Int Etude about...2 rounds ago?
I'd say this is your last turn of it
quick, break the game while drufle is away
Arzenik Depanier is allergic to non-max HP.
so he will cast Drain on the golem
rolling 2d4+18 = 3+1+18 = 22
slorp
their MD was...12 last time?
no. 11
wait
yeah, looks like its 11
wait, its Vulnerable though
so halve that?
no Rylar, Drain is against MD
PD is like...in the 20s
yeah but vulnerability affects PD
I meant the condition, but it does affect both.
5 MD now
against that drain
so 17 damage to the golem
we can finish the fight without him
we know what's up
So then Rylar, he flies up
turns out, he's a dragoon
you drained, so thats...1 AP?
yeah I activate my shadow clone technique
yeah
Amazing.
So what was that, 17 damage? Got it.
but yes for action #2 I attack
Both hits.
Roll your damage.
rolling 4d6+44 = 1+4+2+3+44 = 54
does my Helix debuff apply before or after Vulnerability?
...
Hm.
I think before.
That would make more sense.
So that's 25 and 25, 50 damage.
Squish.
when the combos work, they work really good
(he had like 24 hp left but good job)
Najka spams Heal Wounds on Rylar
Rylar, just about to turn and run to help Softpaws, stops.
"Oh, you got yours as well."
"Well done, then!"
"We floundered a bit in the middle"
Softpaws pulls out a cardboard box and goes to sleep in it
How is everyone doing on hp at the end?
"We should have focused more"
I am utterly untouched because you hit me all of once and I Mega Drained it all back
it took a while to take them down
Well that was a significantly longer fight, but still only a bit over an hour.
That was an interesting fight, though.
I should've just lead with Blink
The problem there though.
we need another caster
a Black Mage or something
Is that what if you don't have someone that can cast Helix or inflict vulnerability?
Enemies like this with high PD are just gonna be invincible.
Vulnerability was the game changer here
it did far more than Helix
It'd be nice if it drained over time or something
PD and MD are just too good of stats, and thus Vulnerability is too good of a condition.
Like everyone just gets tired as a fight drags on
TGH and MND seem to be very good stats to invest in
Or maybe some rebalancing is in order
its like SMT's debilitate spell but not gated to high levels
But between the golem fight and the flytrap fight, I can clearly see that having high PD and poor hp is significantly better than having high hp and poor PD.
we didn't really get to test MD
Being an exclusively-hp tank is just not viable here.
but I assume its the same
Not really, no, we just don't have any real offensive casters.
Just buffers and debuffers.
Well, that was enlightening.
it was fun!
that poor flytrap though
Rylar levels up, and learns Jump, which he immediately uses.
Hup.
So next week, time providing, I guess we're going to go ahead and try to burn through WotF's downtime segment.
And then of course immediately ignore WotF to clean up the 2e playtest.
Alright, that's all for ToA for now!
a lot of good information for Zircon
Maybe later on we'll come back to this after it's had a bit of spit-polishing.
"I'll miss ye, Bayonetta."
"I'll never forget ye..."
You responded to it though!
Alright, I'm heading out.
